Elkins Cast in Hollywood Horror Feature November 26, 2004 Actor Bob Elkins has been cast in a supporting role in Within, a feature length horror film being shot in Los Angeles. The story centers on a Native American amulet discovered by an archaeologist and given to a friend in 1932. The artifact, which is believed to be cursed, winds up in the possession of a young woman many years later. Elkins plays the woman's Uncle Vic, who knows the dark secret behind the amulet, but refuses to tell. Within is being produced by Toa Productions, an independent production company formed by screenwriter Mike Stanley, producer Duke Kahana and director Ross Seymour. The trio have worked on many film and television productions. This is their first project as producing partners. A release date has not yet been announced. Bob Elkins has appeared in such motion pictures as Coal Miner's Daughter, ABC's The Pennsylvania Miners' Story and the upcoming PBS mini-series The War That Made America. He received the Best Actor award in the 2003 Dublin Film and Music Festival in Ireland, for his role in the independent film Homefree. |
